Auto Notifications are sent to your community members when certain actions take place in the panel. Each notification is automatically inserted within the body of an email template selected for Auto Notifications email category in the Email Templates
You can edit the standard email and SMS communication messages used by Panel Management within the Automated Notifications Content menu. These messages are sent to your community members when certain actions are requested by the panelists.
1: Accessing the Menu
To view or adjust your communications messaging, go to the Community Manager page and click "Auto notifications" within the drop-down.
2: Using the Menu
Within the menu, you will see several options for editing each email or SMS message:
Once clicked, each icon will allow you to complete the following actions:
Edit the email version.
Edit the mobile SMS version.
Preview the email version.
Preview the mobile SMS version.
Note: SMS Edit and Preview will only show if SMS has been enabled for your installation. If you would like this enabled, please reach out to your Forsta Representative.
3: Community manager - Auto notifications edit
Each tab represents a language currently being used in the panel and community. The content in each tab provide a localized value for that language.

Form fields
Subject
The communication subject. The subject is applicable to email type messages only.
Message
The message content sent to the panelist. Valid placeholders can be used in the message.
Available placeholders
Some placeholders are not available in all auto notifications and that some auto notifications are only visible if certain preconditions were met.

| %NEWPASSWORD% | A placeholder for a new temporary password sent to panelists (API Communities only). | Message containing new password |

| %EXPIRINGPOINTS% | This is the number of unused points that will expire for the panelist. This placeholder is only available for points expiration reminder emails. | Points Expiration Reminder |
| %REFEREEEMAIL% | This placeholder is replaced with the email address that the referrer entered when they referred their friend - regardless of which email the referee used to sign up. | Referrer Notification |
