This page covers the Panelist Manager. For specific information on methods for adding panelists, see Adding Panelists.
The Panelist Manager allows users to look up the individual history and primary information of individual panelists, update their records, change their incentives, and add panelist-specific notes. You can search for panelists by clicking the "Find" button. Single panelist can be manually added clicking the "Add new panelist" button.

2: Actions
Add panelist: Use this button to add new panelists
For specific information on methods for adding panelists, see Adding Panelists.
Export view: Use this button export all panelists including all selected columns to a file. You can chose from a variety of different file types such as MS Excel™, CSV, XML, Triple-s™ or SPSS™. You can also create a data export definition based on the current view which will allow you to run the same export again at a later time from the Panel data exporter.
Update rewards: This feature allows to bulk update panelists' reward points based on the selected filter. Enter a points value and a note and the points are added to the panelists. Negative point values are accepted too.
Note that if no filter is selected ALL PANELISTS will be updated.
Update panelists: With this feature, you can easily update any panelist datapoint and some system fields based on a filter.
Note: If no filter is selected ALL PANELISTS will be updated.
Send newsletter: This feature allows you to send out non-invitation type messages to panelists without the need of creating a project. This can be useful when sending newsletters for example. In order to create a new launch, you must have a bulk template and at least one query that was marked as a filter. See Newsletters for more information
2.1: Filtering panelists
To filter panelist use the drop-down and buttons in the "Filter" section to select, create and edit filters
Add: Create new data filter to filter panelists
Edit: Edit currently selected data filter
Upload: Upload a list of session keys (csv or xlsx) to create a temporary ad hoc filter
Note: All uploaded ad hoc filters are removed after 24 hours.
2.2: Default panelist manager list column definitions
PID
The internal panelist identifier used by the panel management tool. Note that PID is the equivalent of Panelist_Hash in Forsta Surveys.
The different status badges in this column mean the following:
BE The panelist's email is currently bad and bouncing. The "email valid" field will be set to "no."
OO The panelist is unsubscribed.
BL The panelist is blacklisted.
UC The panelist has joined the panel but has not confirmed their panel subscription.
SD The panelist has been soft-deleted and will be permanently removed during the nightly cleanup process.
Panelists with a bad email address (Yellow), unconfirmed panelists (Purple) or panelists who are unsubscribed (Red) cannot be sent emails.
Note: When "Flags" are included in the view for exporting, the "subscribed", "blacklisted", and "Email valid" fields will be exported.
3: Customize Columns
Customize columns: Use this button to select columns you would like to see on the screen.
Find: Select the field to search. Next type in the text to search for. Finally click find OR press the Enter key. To cancel a find, click the close button or press the Esc key. The * character can represent one or more characters in a search term.
For example to search for a name that starts with B use B* or to search for a name that ends with son use *son.
The ? character represents a single character in a search term.
For example to search for a name that starts with c and ends with t and has one character in between, use c?t.
Note:You may toggle any of the listed panelist datapoints (including system fields) or metadata for viewing and sorting purposes within the Panelist Manager screen.
4: Deleting a Panelist
Select the panelist that is needs deletion.
Once the panelist has been selected, a pop-up screen will appear prompting for a security code and assurance that you want to delete the panelist. Press the "Delete Selected Panelist" button.
A pop-up with "Success" will appear, providing you will confirm that the selected panelist has been deleted.
5: Batch Delete Panelists
The batch delete panelist feature allows you to delete large amounts of panelists. The moment a file is uploaded and validated, the "permanently delete" button will appear.

Actions
Upload CSV or Excel file: The uploaded CSV or Excel file must contain one column only. The maximum allowed file size is 50MB. The file header (the first row of the file) must be one of the following:
pid: for numeric Panelist IDs
identifier: for Panelist identifiers
email: for Panelist emails
Permanently delete: Once a file is uploaded and validated, the "Permanently delete" button becomes available. Once the deletion is confirmed, the system will automatically process the uploaded file and remove the panelists.
The deletion takes place once a day during off-peak hours and runs for a maximum of 4 hours. This is done to not overload the system and to prevent the deletion from interfering with day to day operations.
When a deletion is in progress, the current progress is displayed as a percentage in the "Status" row.
Note: It is important to note that panelist deletions can take a very long time to complete, especially if the panelists you are deleting have been members of the panel for a very long time and have been active in many projects.
6: Panelist manager - Edit panelist
Allows the user to edit a panelist's information.
Standard fields
Identifier: The identifier can only be set when creating a panelist, otherwise it is non-editable. The panelist identifier used externally by the panel management tool. Used in invites and other areas.
Subscribed: Will denote if a panelist is subscribed to receive project invites and to access the community.
Email address: The panelist's email address used for communication with the panelist.
Email valid: Will denote if the email address is valid and able to receive emails. If email vaild = yes, the panelist will have a Flag added to their profile. Panelists with a bad email address flag (Yellow) cannot be sent emails.
Mobile phone number valid: Will denote if the mobile phone number is syntactically correct (E.164) and has been confirmed by the panelist.
Recruitment source: Will denote the source that this panelist was recruited from.
Date joined: The date that the panelist joined the panel.
Blacklisted: Will denote if the panelist has been blacklisted to not be able to participate in or receive information for the panel or to be able to access the community.
Add notes: Will allow the user to make notes about correspondence or other matters with this panelist.
System fields: System fields will only be displayed here if they have been assigned in the datapoint manager.
Gender: Will denote the gender of the panelist.
First name: Will denote the panelist's first name.
Last name: Will denote the panelist's last name.
Birthday: Will denote the panelist's date of birth.
Address: Will denote the panelist's home address.
City: Will denote the panelist's home city.
State: Will denote the panelist's home state.
Zip code: Will denote the panelist's home zip code.
Country: Will denote the panelist's home country.
Phone number: Will denote the panelist's primary phone number.
Alternate phone: Will denote the panelist's secondary phone number.
Mobile phone number: The panelist's mobile phone number. This number is used when sending SMS to panelists.
Mobile carrier: A selection of US mobile carriers. This is not used for anything related to sending SMS and is purely informational.
Additional Fields:
Time Zone: This field is used by the Community site for what time and dates are shown. It is also used for the SMS feature for configuring when the panelist wishes to receive SMS messages. This field be changed by the panelist within their profile if a Community site is used. Note that panelist's time zone has no impact on when they receive email invitations .
Community: This field allows you to change the community in which the panelist can access. It can be changed individually via this field, in a bulk csv upload or assigned within your registration survey,
Note that a panelist can only access one community at a time. When the community for a panelist is changed, they will login using the same password and username.
Language: When additional languages are added via the Language Manager, a preferred language can be defined for panelist, so that the system can always display the correct translation for each individual panelist
Password: Will denote the panelist's community password. The password can be changed manually here by Panel Admins if needed. The password for community sites are set upon completing the registration survey or by clicking “Forgot Password” on the community site for existing panelists.
7: Panelist Metadata
The Metadata tab that can be found when clicking on a panelist. These datapoints will frequently update as respondents continue to participate in surveys. Users of Panel also have the ability to export this data when desired as long as appropriate privileges are given.

8: Contact preferences
Invitation limit
Allows limiting how many invitations this panelist will receive in a certain time span. By default this value is set to unlimited.
Note: This setting only limits Email and mobile short message invitations. Other communication, through bulk emails and community emails are not affected by it. Campaigns that are set to publish exclusively to a community are also not affected.
Mobile short message opt-in
This setting decides whether the Panelist opted in to receive SMS. When sending SMS, this is checked together with the "Mobile phone number valid" field, which indicates whether their phone number is syntactically correct (E.164) and was confirmed.
Mobile short message time constraints
This setting is used to limit sending mobile short messages to a panelist during off-hours.
9: Panelists Activity
Activity list column definitions
Activity
The activity that is being displayed.
Status
The highest status of the panelist for the displayed activity. This will typically be used with an invitation and will display the highest level of completion: invited, drop out, terminated or completed.
Custom status
The custom status that was collected when the panelist completed.
Rewards
Any rewards the panelist earned for the displayed activity.
Message
In addition to the standard market research codes, the message column offers an extended way to log panelist exit status messages.
Date
The date and time that the panelist's activity was changed.
10: Panelist Notes
Panelist Notes Manager allows you to manage and view notes for each panelist. Notes are used for logging misc activity with your panelists.
Add note
Click on this button to add a new note for the panelist.

11: Reward points history
Panelist reward points history page contains details for each transaction where panelist reward points where issued or deducted from the account.
Current balance
Displays the current number of points available to the panelist.
Life time reward points table
Displays total lifetime points

Points

If this activity was a redemption request (regardless of its status), the unique transaction ID is shown here.

The date and time when the transaction took place
Action type
Display the type of transaction:
