Two Factor Authentication is a secure login option for Forsta Panel Management users that requires another method via email or mobile authenticator application to verify identity / access.
1: Overview
Panel Management supports 2FA with:
Time-based one-time password (TOTP) apps
Email one-time passcodes
Note: When 2FA is enabled for an installation, all users must configure the company-selected method at their next login. Once 2FA is turned on, users will be required to set up the 2FA authentication method selected by the customer when logging in.
2: Authentication Methods
Panel Management offers three configuration choices. Contact your Forsta account representative to enable 2FA and select a method.

| App (TOTP) | Users scan a QR code with a mobile authenticator app. |
| Both | Users choose Email or App at each login. |
2.1: Email Method
For email method, user will be provided a configuration screen to select Email and click next to continue the set-up process.
1. Select email and click next, on the 2FA setup screen.
2. Check your inbox for the one-time passcode.
3. Enter the code to complete sign-in.
2.2: App (TOTP)
For App (TOTP) method, user will be provided a configuration screen to select App and click next to continue the set-up process.
1. Select App on the setup screen and click Next.
2. Scan the QR code with any TOTP-compatible app, such as:
Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Twilio Authy
3. Enter the six-digit code from the app to finish sign-in.
2.3: Both (App and Email)
If both methods are enabled, choose Email or App at login and follow the steps in section 2.1 or 2.2.
3: Resetting Your 2FA Device
Need to change or replace your TOTP app or device?
Contact the Forsta Support team to reset your 2FA configuration, then repeat the setup steps the next time you sign in.
