Activity Filters allow users to query panelists based on their level of participation in panel projects and polls. Once an activity filter is created, it may be used as Query Criteria for use in Creating Sample or viewing specific data. To create a filter, select the "New Activity Filter" button.
Filter Types
- Invitation frequency
- Filter based on the number of invitations received in a specified time period.
- Participation frequency
- Filter based on the number of surveys that the panelist participated in within a specified time period. In this context, "participated in" means the panelist completed the survey, or was profile or quota termed. Invited, dropouts and opt-outs are not included.
- Completion frequency
- Filter based on the number of surveys that the panelist completed within a specified time period.
- Project-specific
- Filter based on the status of participation in a single project or a series of user-specified projects.
- Category-specific
- Filter based on the status of participation in projects that meet user-specified category requirements.
- Client- specific
- Filter based on whether a panelist has or has not completed a project for a certain client within a certain amount of time.
- Topic-specific
- Filter based on whether a panelist has or has not completed a project that matches a certain topic within a certain amount of time.
- Available Surveys
- Filter based on whether a panelist has surveys available.
- Custom status specific
- Filter type based on analyzing the last 5 custom statuses of each panelist. Use this to include panelist if one of their past final statuses matches any of the values entered. Enter a comma separated list of statuses to use multiple values.

Custom status specific
Filter type based on analyzing the last 5 custom statuses of each panelist. Use this to include panelist if one of their past final statuses matches any of the values entered. Enter a comma separated list of statuses to use multiple values. Maximum allowed length: 500 characters. Maximum allowed: 10 segments.
Note:

Custom statuses submitted for non-final sessions (dropouts) are not taken into account.

Filter Condition
Allows the user to specify conditions based upon the type of activity filter.
Frequency based
Conditions within a time range of 90 days or less can include exact counts.
Conditions that go beyond 90 days can only be created on a 'Has/Has not' basis.
Project based
Select a participation type from the pulldown and select one or more projects from the list.
Type of survey activity:
Participated in - Includes panelists who at least started the survey - regardless of whether they finished it or not (started + profile + quota + complete)
Invited to - Includes panelists who received an invitation in this project - regardless of whether they participated or not (invited + started + profile + quota + complete)
Started - Includes only panelists who started the survey but never finished
Profile-terminated from - Includes only panelists who finished the survey with status: profile
Quota-terminated from - Includes only panelists who finished the survey with status: quota
Completed - Includes only panelists who finished the survey with status: complete
Project to search for:
The list of projects you want to look for the activity previously selected.
Type of period of time:
Select if you want to search in all the historical data or for time range.
Range period:
If you choose to use a time range, you have to provide a range period.
Range type:
If you choose to use a time range, the unit of the period provided previously. This can be days, weeks, months, years. Use the "within the last ..." option below to limit how far back the participation needs to be. By default, all time is used.
Category based:
Select one or more categories from the tree view. Use the 'Expand all' and 'Collapse all' links to control the tree structure. For participation type explanation, see help for Project based filters.
