Keeping track of usernames and passwords can be a hassle, especially when you need to use multiple software systems every day. Single Sign-On (SSO) using Oath2 makes it possible to connect your company with your ForstaPanel Management account so that your users can log in to both systems with one set of credentials.
1: How it Works
Forsta manages the setup process for all SSO authentication. If you are interested in connecting with Forsta via SSO, please contact your Forsta representative to get started.
2: What You Will Need
The following information is required to set up SSO authentication and can be found in your SSO configuration files. Please check with your Forsta representative if you have questions regarding any of the items listed below.
- Client ID
- Client Secret (sent with secure file sharing)
- Auth URL
- Token URL
- Scope
- Email domain of company users
3: Testing Your Connection
Once you have received confirmation that your SSO authentication is active, you can test it out by attempting to log into your Panel Management account using only your company email address.
The page should automatically refresh once you have typed in your email address and the “Sign In” button will instead say “Continue”. Click the button to continue and verify that the connection is working properly.
If you experience any trouble logging into your Panel Management account using only your company email address, please reach out to your Forsta representative for further assistance.
Note: If you are already logged into Panel Management, you will need to log out of your current session before seeing any changes.
4: Limitations
The following limitations apply:
- The SSO login option for Panel Management is only available when accessing domains which have been enabled with SSO authentication.
